Kathie McEvers
Watercolorist
Bio:
West Linn resident Kathie McEvers, a retired Oregon City teacher, enjoys painting in the challenging medium of watercolors. In college, at Southern Oregon University, she enjoyed minoring in art aside from her education major.
Kathie’s main subjects include florals, still lifes, landscapes and portraits of children engaged in memorable childhood activities. She does commission work as well.
Kathie is a member of the Watercolor Society of Oregon, the Oregon Society of Arts, and the Montana Watercolor Society.

Artist Statement:
While developing my art, I enjoy focusing on colors and their values (light, medium, and dark shades of a color) to create depth and add a 3-demensional look to a painting. Most of my work comes from images captured in my photos.
